WHO ARE YOU LISTENING TO? THE VOICE OF THE WORLD OR THE VOICE OF JESUS

There are so many voices we hear every day, most of it is

clutter or white noise, to me the voice of Jesus is my filter,

to filter out all of the white noise. I’m always asking myself is this the voice of Jesus? The voice of the world seems to be asleep in the light. They all seem to be like grade school kids in playground, they are having fun but the evil

of the world is all around them waiting to consume them.

Ephesians 4:14-15 “That we should no longer be children tossed to and FRO

and carried about with every wave of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting.” “But speak the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ--.”

It is time to wake up, rise up from the dead, and Christ will

give you light. The church should be in a place of safety, but we have to watch, and make sure it is the voice of reason, the voice of Jesus, the good shepherd, will guide you into all truth. If it is not the voice of the good shepherd,

it is going to try to kill, steal and destroy. John 10:10 is a good plumbline for Christians to judge what is good and evil.

John 10:10 “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy, I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”

A Christian has an edge, the nonbelievers don’t have, they have the Word, the Bible, to help them make wise decisions.

If you are not reading the Word, how will you know whether it is from God or

Man? We go to a bible study, and out text book is the Bible, but people will read other books, nothing wrong with this, but if you are not reading the word, the clutter can certainly come from a lot of different directions.

You spirit man is also another source for you to check yourself out. If you hear something, is it the spirit, or is it your flesh talking to you? There is a unity of the spirit from other believers. You need to ask your believing friends questions about how they are feeling about something that was said, or done. We have lost the art of speaking the truth in love, when we have been part of a group, or a church, we have a history, with those people and instead of speaking the truth in love, we walk around on egg shells, because we know they don’t believe the same as we do, but if they are believing the wrong thing, our silence, has already condemned you. I have a coffee cup that says, “I could agree with you but then we would both be wrong.”

By speaking the truth, in love, we can shut the mouth of the devil, who is using our friends to speak evil things. We need to shut the mouth of the evil things that are in the world. Galatians 4:16 says, “Have I become you enemy by telling you the truth?”
