GOD GAVE US EVERYTHING

ree

II Peter 1:3-4 “As HIS DIVINE POWER has given to us all things that pertain to LIFE AND GODLINESS, through the knowledge of Him who CALLED US BY GLORY AND VIRTUE By which have been given to us EXCEEDINGLY GREAT AND PRECIOUS PROMISES, that through these you may be partakers of the DEVINE NATURE, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through LUST.”

WHO IS HEARING GOD?

When we go to church, and we are listening to the Word of God, one is really getting everything that is being said, another next to him is falling asleep. We have to be tuned into the right receiver if we want to hear God’s voice. We actually do become what we hang around. You hang around doubt and unbelief, you will become a doubter. If you hang around life and peace through Jesus, you will

lead a peaceful life.

This is not to say if you just go sit in church, you’re going to be a Christian. Just like you go to McDonald’s it doesn’t make you a hamburger, you might smell like one, but it doesn’t make you one. We have to pursue those gifts,

and if you see a gift in a person, you need to be around that person.

When I wanted to be a minister, I hung around good ministers, had them pray for me, and transfer those gifts into my life. It doesn’t happen in the natural, it happens in the supernatural. You can’t see it immediately, but over a period of time you begin to be like them, either good or bad, but you get to choose who you hang out with.

This may come as a surprise to you, but not everyone that is in church is hearing from God. I sat in a church, I don’t think I ever heard from God in that church. Then I went to Canada, I could sit on the lake for hours, and hear God’s voice. Church isn’t in a building, it’s where the body of believers come together and seek God’s face.

Yesterday, we were at the coffee shop, and someone asked a question about deacons and elders, it began with a few of the guys, in a few minutes there were six or seven people enter the conversation, and we had church, they were all edified, and the questions were answered. Why, because God showed up. When we were ministering at the Bible Colleges, we would sit around the big round tables. People would be coming in at six in the morning, to get their questions answered.

Where there are two or three gathered together, there I AM IN THEIR MIDST. Hearing God’s voice is easy, the hard part is doing what God tells us to do, when He tells

us to do it.

Church to me, is like sheep all in the same pen, if you are hearing God’s voice, another you will not follow. People in Church are not all hearing from God, some are traditional, and putting in their time, some are comfortable being saved and going to heaven, but if you are hearing God’s voice you are not only going to be a hearer, but a doer of the word.

James 1:21-23 “Lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and

receive with meekness the implanted WORD, WHICH IS ABLE TO SAVE YOUR SOULS. BUT BE DOERS OF THE WORD and not HEARERS ONLY, DECEIVING YOURSELVES. For if anyone is a hearer of the WORD AND NOT A DOER, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror. For he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was."

YOU WILL KNOW HIS VOICE

John 10:1-5 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who does not enter the

sheepfold by the door, but climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. To him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep HEAR HIS VOICE; and he calls his own sheep by name and LEADS THEM OUT. When he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them, and the sheep follow him, for they KNOW HIS VOICE. Yet they will by no means follow a stranger, but will flee from him, for they do not know the VOICE OF A STRANGER.”
