THE SPIRIT VS THE FLESH

Romans 8:1 “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.”

The spirit man has the finished work of the cross on his side. Jesus paid the price for those who have accepted Him by the spirit, there are plenty of people who have accepted Jesus according to the flesh, and they did it in their own power. When that power of man runs out, they walk away from God, or life, the religious life, of religion, tradition, legalism or works. This is a very hard life, and it is where self-condemnation comes from. I like to put the word self in front of condemnation, because it will eliminate the works the flesh. Jesus didn’t come to condemn the world; He came to save it. If saving the world was the goal, why in the world would he condemn it?

John 3:17-18 “For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. he who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has

not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.”

FOR THE LAW OF THE SPIRIT OF LIFE

Romans 8:2-3 “For the LAW OF THE SPIRIT OF LIFE IN CHRIST JESUS has made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin; He condemned sin in the flesh.”

If we did not have the law, we would not have sin, for what the law did through the weakness of the flesh, was to expose it’s weakness which was the flesh. If we walk in

the spirit, we give power to the spirit and it allows us to walk free.

Romans 8:4-5 “For those who live according to the flesh set their minds

on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death, but the spiritually minded is life and peace.”

I lover Romans chapter eight because it brings an end to

the war between the spirit and flesh. If you want a life of life and peace, you have to walk according to the spirit man. To be carnally minded brings death. Can I ask a question here, how can people miss this? The only way is

to be blinded by religion tradition, legalism and works. You have to have help to misunderstand Romans 8.

Romans 8:7-9 “Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is

not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. Then those who are in the flesh cannot please God. But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the

Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His.”

If you want to be a Christian, why in the world would you want to fight against the Holy Spirit? Satan is the one who motivates people to fight against the spirit, because when you begin to believe this Chapter, you will not want to do anything with the demonic. You will only want to fulfill the works of the Spirit. We use to much of our time fighting against God, who has done us such a grate favor by sending Christ to pay the price of God’s Grace in our lives. There are people who are going to be in heaven, but they were not disciples down here on earth, because they

fought so hard to prove a carnal mindset of the Holy Spirit is not for today. There are people who are not born-again, because they don’t want to get involved with the Holy Spirit, and speak in tongues. There are people in the church who are O.K.

about just sitting in church, because they like being a Christian. Then there are disciples, who want more, and hear His Voice, God is calling us out of the religion, tradition, legalism, and works, into his marvelous light. We need to train them in the ways of the spirit. and not make them legalistic, but in a manner of telling the truth in Love.

All of these Christians are under the same roof at the same time. What separates us, is if you can hear the voice of the good shepherd, and you come out of the

sheep fold and follow the God Shepherd! Can you hear the voice of God? If you can’t, do you want to hear the Voice of God? The last and final question are

you deaf to hearing the voice of God? I cannot answer these questions you have to answer them without being hindered by the demonic realm, because we need to walk in the spirit not the flesh.
